One of our top clients, located in Parsippany NJ is looking to hire Hospital Medical Billing Follow Up Representatives on a temp to hire basis. These positions will start out remotely as we continue to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. Exceptional performance while working remotely could lead to working from home permanently. Potential applicants must have prior experience with Hospital Billing in order to be considered for this opportunity. Responsibilities include: Meets and maintains daily productivity/quality standards established in departmental policies Follow-up with payers to ensure timely resolution of all outstanding claims Account Resolution Adheres to the policies and procedures established for the client/team Initiate appeals when necessary Ability to identify and correct medical billing errors Send appropriate appeals, accurate requesting information, supporting documentation, and effective communication to complete recovery process Ability to analyze, identify and resolve issues causing payer payment delays Ability to analyze, identify and trend claims issues to proactively reduce denials Understanding of under payments and credit balance process Qualifications: 5 years’ experience in insurance collections, including submitting and following up on claims for a Medical Practice, Ambulatory Surgical Center, Hospital and/or other Medical Facility/Medical Billing Company Physician/Professional Billing: 3 year Knowledge of the denied claims appeals process Knowledge of Worker’s Comp and PIP Previous experience in Hospital/Facility or Physician billing Extensive knowledge of individual payor websites, including Navinet and Novitasphere Knowledge of Medical Terminology, CPT Codes, Modifiers and Diagnosis Codes Ability to work well individually and in a team environment Proficiency with MS Office. Must have basic Excel skillset Experience with GE Centricity or EPIC PB preferred Experience with EClinical Works (ECW) preferred Strong communication skills/oral and written Strong organizational skills Please submit your resume for immediate consideration!
