Responsibilities:

-PT will be responsible for evaluations, treatments and overseeing PTAs and/or aides;
– Plans and prepares written treatment program based on evaluation of patient data including functional goals with time limits;
-Confers with family regarding treatment program and goals;
-Records treatment, response, and progress in patient’s chart including physician progress reports, rehab summaries and discharge summaries;
-Administers therapeutic exercises and modality treatments;
-Instructs, motivates, and assists patients to learn and improve mobility and functional activities such as pre-ambulation, transfer, ambulation, and daily living activities with or without use of assistive and supportive devices;
-Assists patient with adjusting to disability/dysfunction to prevent further injury;
-Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit;

Education:
– Graduation from an accredited educational program.

Qualifications:
-Current and unencumbered California license;
-Current AHA-approved CPR card;

Skills:
-Skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, logic and reasoning, judgment, time management techniques and data entry;
-Ability to make improvements or take corrective action;
-Observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources;
-Organize, plan, and prioritize work;
-Communicate with people outside the organization;
-Represent the organization to patients, clients and the public;
-Deal calmly and effectively in high stress situations;
-Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintain them over time;
-Work within a team as well as independently;
-Speak, read, and write effectively as appropriate for the needs of the audience while demonstrating the proper use of grammar.
