Mental Health Case Manager/Group Facilitator
The New Hope Behavioral Center, an adult mental health partial care program in Irvington, NJ provides therapeutic psychiatric services to adults living with mental health needs. All staff are scheduled to work in agency Monday through Friday. Clients are scheduled to attend program Tuesday through Thursday from 8:45 am-3:15 pm.

Position Available

NHBC is seeking full-time, Counselor/Case Managers. As a Counselor, you will be responsible for providing case management and therapeutic services to adults living with severe and persistent mental illness.

Duties include but are not limited to: daily case management in a group setting, facilitating therapeutic clinical groups, completing assessments and treatment plan, completing progress note documentation for all clients in your caseload, collaboration with other providers involved in your client’s care, assisting with obtaining service authorization and daily phone contact as needed to unengaged clients.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrates strong work ethic, including reliability, timeliness, team player and ability to communicate well with program staff
  • Ability to work independently and is a self-starter
  • Experience working with mental health and DDD population
  • Experience providing telehealth services preferred
  • Experience completing treatment plans and documentation in a mental health program
  • Good problem solving and Crisis intervention skills needed
  • Demonstrates patience and flexibility
  • Comfortability working with clients that may be co-occurring
  • Assist and cooperate with management to ensure state and license mandates
  • Must demonstrate an aptitude and desire to continually improve clinical services
  • Comfortable using technology, email, and phones daily
  • Bilingual preferred but not required
  • Experience/credentials to facilitate prevocational, IMR, and/or MICA groups (Preferred but not required)

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services Field (Preferred) OR may possess an AA in Human Services field AND 5 years experience working in human services field(Required)

License or certification

  • Valid NJ Driver’s License (Preferred)
  • Licensed in Social Services (Preferred)
  • One year of prevocational experience (Preferred)
  • CADC certification OR MICA experience (Preferred)
  • Experience with IMR curriculum OR IMR training hours completed (Preferred)

Full -Time 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay: From $33,000.00 per year
