As a Member of the Cohen Veterans Network Team:

The Account Manager is a key member of the Revenue Cycle Team who will implement the revenue cycle management with multiple CVN clinics. As an Account Manager of Revenue Cycle, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Being responsible for the operational details and execution of revenue cycle processes across the CVN Central Office and within CVN clinics. This includes:
  • In collaboration with the Revenue Cycle Team, overseeing the clinics’ billing and collection processes, generating reports, monitoring productivity, assisting with developing strategies to improve overall performance, expediting account resolution, and streamlining billing processes;
  • Functioning as a liaison between clinics, vendors, and clinic support teams;
  • Monitoring key billing/collection statistics and comparing standard benchmarks;
    • Monitoring and evaluating third-party revenue streams.
  • Monitoring and identifying opportunities to improve productivity of the CVN clinics through key revenue cycle indicators and optimizing all aspects of the billing cycle.
  • Working collaboratively with and monitoring Revenue Cycle vendors and ensuring accountability for performance standards.
  • Assisting with ensuring CVN clinics are implemented and maintained in accordance with revenue cycle policies and continuous improvement initiatives for all CVN clinic staff. This includes:
    • In collaboration with other CVN Central Office departments, assisting with configuring billing system structures and determining the SOP for partner organization receipt of funds, co-pays, etc.;
    • Assisting with maintaining the schedule of billing implementations and ensuring timelines are integrated with the overall calendar; communicating timelines and expectations clearly and in a timely manner to all stakeholders;
  • Collaborating with RCM team members and other Central Office departments to provide training and/or support practices on best RCM practices and standard operating procedures, and use of the EHR systems as it relates to billing;
  • Supporting the training of clinical staff on any unique requirements of the payors;
  • Providing accurate, high-quality responses to feedback to inquiries/questions/challenges regarding billing process and engaging appropriate internal departments/external resources, as necessary.
  • Supporting financial reporting for the Central Office and CVN clinics and providing various data analyses as requested by leadership. This includes providing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on status of all payors/contracts and revenue received.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years healthcare practice management and/or medical billing experience required. Experience with behavioral health billing and coding preferred.
  • Outstanding presentation, interpersonal, training, problem solving, and project management skills.
  • In-depth industry knowledge of health system finance, behavioral health organizations, and health insurance reimbursement.
  • Certified coder experience a plus
  • Veteran, Military Spouse, or experience in the veteran community a plus
  • Moderate travel required
