Shift:
Standard Business Hours Monday to Friday, (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer telephones, direct callers to appropriate staff; when staff is unavailable, take detailed messages and deliver messages according to company policy
- Screen and respond to calls for information
- Calendar management for senior leadership
- Receive, sort, and forward incoming mail
- Maintain confidential records and files
- Maintain physical and digital filing system
- Perform posting charges
- Perform completion of claims to payers
- Conduct duties in a professional and timely fashion
- Submit billing data to the appropriate insurance providers
- Review open accounts for collection efforts
- Make outbound collection calls in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations
- Resolve client-billing problems and improve accounts receivable delinquency
- Collect customer payments in accordance with payment due dates
- Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with management
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must have NextGen Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of previous experience working as front office medical assistant.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- Have excellent time management skills
- Ability to learn new systems quickly
- Ability to enter data efficiently, timely, and correctly to meet deadlines
- Must have attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work autonomously or with a team
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must maintain a business casual appearance and professional demeanor
Other Considerations:
- Work may be repetitive
- Frequently bend to file and maintain files
- May occasionally lift 5-10 lbs.
