LADC, ADC-T Counselor/Intern

Primary Assignment: Conduct group therapy and individual sessions and perform biopsychosocial Rule 25 Assessments and Intake Procedures under the direction of the TREATMENT DIRECTOR.

Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Document holding a bachelor’s degree, and at least one year experience in direct service to persons with alcohol and other drug problems.
  • Document holding a current Alcohol and Drug Counselor License or meet the requirements of Rule 245G for alcohol and drug counselor.
  • Document 12 hours of training in co-occurring mental health problems and substance use disorder.
  • No chemical use problems as described in the Employee Handbook for at least two years.

Competency Requirements

1. Designing individual treatment plans.

2. Conducting assessment interviews.

3. Implementing individualized treatment plans.

4. Maintaining client records.

5. Developing evaluative outcome criteria.

6. Identifying chemical use problems including pharmacological, behavioral, age, and cultural implications, and include such considerations in treatment plans.

Responsibilities

1. Provide assessments, intakes, group therapy and individual therapy as assigned including related tasks such as family meetings, documentation and charting.

2. Adheres to Work Rules.

  • Understands and complies with company’s policies and procedures.
  • Complies with the required education as specified by company’s, as well as the continuing education needed to maintain professional licensure.
  • Understands and practices proper procedures for safety, life safety emergencies, and infection control.
  • Maintains current credentials and ADC-T will have supervision and sign-off of all work.
