HEDIS Abstractor
Overview of Position
Change Healthcare is hiring multiple HEDIS Abstractors who will enable health plans to demonstrate the quality of care being delivered to their members by finding the appropriate data and abstracting it into the appropriate database. We accept applications year-round, and active recruitment for these roles typically occurs from October-February.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
- Identify appropriate information from medical records according to NCQA HEDIS Technical Specifications and Change Healthcare guidelines
- Data entry into Change Healthcare proprietary software
- Maintain accuracy thresholds as set forth by Change Healthcare
- Comply with HIPAA laws and regulations
What are the requirements needed for this position?
- Either:
- RN, NP, PA, LPN, with a current license
- Certified Coder, RHIT or RHIA through AAPC or AHIMA
- At least 1 year of recent HEDIS experience; TRC experience highly preferred
- Working knowledge of HIPPA requirements, recognizing a commitment to privacy, security and the confidentiality of all medical chart and patient health information
- High-speed internet access and mobile phone service
- Strong computer skills including familiarity with internet applications and MS Office (e.g., Excel and Word)
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
In addition to HEDIS experience, we look for clinical experience in any of the following areas: pediatrics, health department, school nurse, medical surgery, cardiology, diabetes, well child/adolescents, oncology, OB/GYN, geriatrics, and pre-natal
