Clinical Therapist (Adult TSSU) (may underfill as Senior Mental Health Counselor) – LTE – Waukesha County, WI – Waukesha, WI

Waukesha County Department of Health & Human Services is recruiting for a Clinical Therapist. Working within the Waukesha County DHHS-Clinical Services Division, the position will support referral, outreach, and admission activities within the adult intensive case management programs. The case management programs include: DHS 63 certified Community Support Program (CSP), DHS 36 certified Comprehensive Community Services (CCS), and Targeted Case Management (TCM). The applicant hired will work with a team of that includes: Clinical Supervisor, service facilitators, mental health professionals. The successful applicant will have knowledge of mental health and substance use treatment services utilizing principles of psychosocial rehabilitation. Knowledge of and application of principles of welcoming customer service, strengths-based treatment, culturally responsive services, recovery principles, and client centered planning are essential. The position is grant funded through 05/30/2022 at which point the department will determine if the assignment can be extended

Under supervision, to perform professional clinical work in a variety of settings for clients of all ages; and to perform other duties as required.

The 2022 salary range for Senior Mental Health Counselor is: $26.94 – 35.63.

The minimum training and experience requirements for Senior Mental Health Counselor are:

1. (a.) Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with a major in sociology, social work, psychology or a closely?related field [AND] (b.) Two (2) years of professional experience in the field of mental health including one thousand (1000) hours of experience delivering services to the chronically mentally ill and their families.

OR

2. Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with at least four (4) courses in sociology, social work, or psychology, plus three (3) years of professional experience in the field of mental health including one thousand (1000) hours of experience delivering services to the chronically mentally ill and their families.

3. A master’s degree from a recognized college or university in sociology, social work, psychology, or a closely related field may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.
