Med Transporter/ DSP position in Kingston and Saugerties
- Starting at $15
- Monday- Friday 7am-3pm** no weekends

Responsibilities:
- Schedules all medical and dental appointments prior to their due date
- Transports clients to all medical, dental & clinical appointments.
- Updates pertinent information into Therap
- Notifies all program areas as well as nursing via email of scheduled appointments at least 2 weeks prior to the scheduled date
- Ensures the medical consult accompanies Individuals on all appointments
- Ensures new prescriptions are verified with the primary nurse immediately after appointment.
- Updates the primary nurse with pertinent information written in consult.
- Interfaces as appropriate with all medical/dental providers to ensure consults are completed by the provider and all questions outlined on the consults are answered
- Ensures the consult and any prescriptions obtained are returned to the primary nurse/nurse’s mailbox in the individual house within 24 hours of the appointment
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Required- High School Diploma or GED
- Working with Individuals that have IDD (preferred)
- CNA/ HHA preferred
- Med certified preferred
Requirements
- Clean Driver’s License a must.
- Pass NYS and OPWDD background clearance
