Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a technician that is skilled in, and able to perform (but not limited to):
- Radiology
- Administers treatments and procedures
- Demonstrates proficiency in venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Anesthetic procedures and monitoring
- Lab sample collection and handling
- Knowledge of proper safety, cleaning and serialization methods
- In-house diagnostics
- Working as part of a team
- Safe animal handling
Preferred Skills:
- Prepares and administers pre-anesthetics, IV anesthetics and gas anesthetics
- Performs emergency procedures (within the scope of a licensed RVT) as instructed by staff veterinarian
- Dental prophylaxis and radiography
Job Requirements
- RVT license is preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of the Avimark system is a plus but not required.
- Must be a happy individual that appreciates the value of teamwork.
- Must have the ability to work weekends and some holidays.
- Must be outgoing, friendly, happy, a team player
- Must have good communication skills
