Job Description:
- The Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA’s) will be performing therapies, recording the notes of each visit, and following up with their patients.
- Each SLPA will be empowered to build their own schedule with a Supervisor, and maintain it consistently.
- Each SLPA will be given the tools (software/program) to facilitate the secretarial needs of their schedules, and will be expected to have computer and smartphone literacy for this reason.
- Traveling can be expected, as we also offer services not only at our offices but at the daycare centers and schools in the surrounding areas.
- The SLPA will meet with their Supervisor at least once a month and work on therapy strategies.
Education/Certificates:
- B.S. in Communications Disorders, or a similar degree.
- License from the State of Florida.
Skills:
- English speaking
- Bilingual (Spanish, French Creole)
- Computer literacy
- Smartphone literacy
Required Work Experience:
- At least 1-year working with children
Responsibilities:
- Employ therapy proficiently.
- Maintain a consistent roster of patients.
- Organize own schedule.
- Use the software and programs provided.
- Work with parents/guardians of the patient.
