Full-Time Senior Estimator of Construction Projects
Full Job Description
Overview:
This role will supply detailed and conceptual estimates resulting in a complete and correct proposal or bid. Cost estimating and proposal generation.
Obligations:
- Attend pre-bid conferences and/or coordinate site visits to gain an understanding of project
- Review plans and specs
- Prepare scope of work
- Receiving, evaluating, and compiling subcontractor and vendor proposals
- Securing bid bonds/insurance requirements
- Review and keep data-based pricing (i.e., labor rates, fringes, burdens, sales or special taxes and material costs & production rates)
- Submission of pre-bid RFI’s
- Organize bid documents and addendums upon receiving
- Prepare a project schedule
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Exhibits high-level ability to interpret plans and specifications
5 years of experience estimating civil & concrete construction work.- Exhibits ability to break down assemblies into individual tasks and elements (i.e., constructability)
- Meticulous and thorough
- Good organization skills
- Capable of running multiple estimates concurrently
- Understanding direct and indirect project costs
- Understand the estimate structure; alternates and bid areas
Technical Competencies
This position requires familiarity and/or knowledge of the following:
- HCSS Heavy Bid
- Knowledgeable in MS Project
- Basic ability with all MS Office products
- AGTEK Grade work & materials
Compensation
- 110-140k annual salary
