Reeves Construction Company is looking for Heavy Equipment Operators for its St. Augustine/Jacksonville, Florida location. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively operate a Bulldozer, Excavator or Loader to achieve desired golas of the plans and specifications specific to the job.


  • Adhere to Reeves Construction Company safety programs to ensure a safe work environment
  • Monitor all steps of the operation to ensure Standard Quality and Operating Practices and guidelines are being followed
  • Knowledge of how to operate a Bulldozer, Excavator or Loader
  • Spread dirt in fill areas, finish dress to plan specifications, load material from stockpiles or excavations, finish grade with a loader, experience with material handling
  • GPS machine control knowledge
  • Backfill trenches/excavations
  • Apply caution digging around underground utilities and overhead wire
  • Ability to assist with the maintenance and normal operating adjustment to the equipment
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Strong knowledge of plans and specifications, OSHA Trenching Requirements, and Safety Protocol
  • Candidate must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work in a number of diverse locations is pertinent, as work locations my change daily
  • Expected Hours: hours will vary by job, location and season. Working a night shift may be required
  • Six months to one year experience operating the equipment
  • Must have a current and valid driver’s license
  • Must have adequate transportation to work
  • Must adhere to safety procedures and guidelines at all times
  • Punctuality, consistent attendance and self-direction for the success of the operations

Employees must have 20/40 vision either naturally or with corrective lenses. Hearing should be excellent or by audio device.
