Nursing Secretary – Hospital – HAYWARD AREA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL – Hayward, WI

Provides support for leadership, administrative and managerial functions within the nursing department including community outreach activities. Completes clerical support for nursing including meeting minutes, data collection and/or collation, quality improvement projects, presentation preparation and other assistance as assigned by the VP Patient Care Services, Nurse Managers or House Supervisors. Supports Nursing Administration coordination of resource availability (scheduling/filling shifts for sick calls, etc.) as needed. Coordinates meeting schedules, distribution of call schedules and updating of policies/forms as appropriately requested. Supports the achievement of Strategic Initiative and True North goals including processes involving People/Plan and Process.

Requirements: Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Experience: Minimum of 2 years previous experience in health care field as an administrative assistant preferred; Proficiency: demonstrated proficiency in word processing, excel, graphing of information, database management; proficient in the use of telephone, copy/fax machine, email; proficient use of the English language; discrete handling of confidential information
