For 65 years, the Indianapolis Marion County Building Authority (IMCBA) has been proudly serving the city of Indianapolis. We now maintain 16 properties in and around Indianapolis. Our newest property, the Community Justice Center (CJC), is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to a modern, holistic, data-driven approach to the Indianapolis justice system.

As a result of recent growth, we seek an experienced Storeroom/Crib Attendant responsible for tracking, procuring, managing deliveries, and maintaining an inventory for the materials and tools required to complete work orders, alterations, and repairs for the CJC campus.

Shift: 2nd 4:00pm ? 2:30am

Schedule: 4 (10) Ten Hour days Wednesday through Saturday

Key responsibilities:

  • Tool and equipment inventory control and administration responsibilities include, but not limited to,
    • Tracking of all tools and materials checked out and returned by IMCBA associates.
    • Order and maintain inventory stock levels.
    • Enter data for requisitions, work orders, alterations, and estimates into the Advanced Manufacturer Tracking System (AMMS).
    • Check tools and equipment for repairs or safety issues.
    • Engrave or stencil all tools and equipment.
    • Create and keep organized folders on all new equipment and tools and log into the equipment file.
    • Purge and make folders for closed-out purchase orders, work orders, estimates, and alterations.
  • Procurement responsibilities include, but not limited to,
    • Source best price and availability on tools and materials for alterations, work orders, requisitions, and inventory.
    • Expedite purchase orders with vendors and suppliers.
    • Receive shipments, check delivered items against purchase orders, and close out purchase orders.
    • Arrange “Will Call” pick-ups with vendors, arrange for parts pick-ups, and support other shipping and receiving as needed.
    • Maintain an up-to-date vendor listing.
    • Obtain uniforms for IMCBA associates, as needed.
  • Safety precaution and compliance responsibilities include, but not limited to,
    • Request and log Safety Data Sheets for chemicals.
    • Label all chemicals in tool cribs and shops with HMIS labels.
    • Keep chemical, tool, and equipment areas clean, organized, and free of safety violations.
  • Assist building Security with tenant car problems in the parking garage.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 2-3 years previous inventory or procurement experience and working knowledge of maintenance tools and materials.
  • Previous experience and working knowledge of various tools and equipment, including two-wheel dolly, pallet jack, forklift/stacker, two-way radio, and office equipment (calculator, printers, copiers/scanners, fax machine), and purchase order management systems.
  • Basic computing skills and experience with MS Office Suite are required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more; 20/40 vision or corrected vision.:

2nd Shift

Hourly Rate: $15.00/Hr. – $20.00/Hr. Negotiable depending upon experience
