Staff Accountant – CF Nutrition – Cardiff, CA

CF Nutrition’s corporate office is located in beautiful coastal Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA, and our manufacturing facility is located in Atlanta, GA. The Staff Accountant Position would be based in the Cardiff office.

Summary of Role & Responsibilities

The Staff Accountant is a member of CF Nutrition’s Corporate Operations Team who reports to the Director of Operations. The associate in this position ensures all accounting tasks are performed correctly and according to GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles), keeps records of all financial transactions, and performs reconciliation and approval tasks to facilitate month-end close.

Experience and Credentials:

  • Minimum 3 years in progressive Accounting experience, Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing environment preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA preferred

Hard Skills:

  • Netsuite ERP Experience Preferred
  • GSuite Enterprise and MS Office, specifically a intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Excellent Written & Verbal Communication
  • Thorough knowledge of General Ledger Accounting, GAAP, and Reconciliations

Day to Day

  • Accounting functions such as: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Recurring Billing, Logistics and Procurement, Month-End Close
  • Review and approval of transactions posted in NetSuite, including Bills, Invoices, Journal Entries, etc. entered by Accounting Data Specialist and Customer Service Reps
  • Manage, review, and approve employee expenses in Expensify
  • Review of new vendor and customer setup
  • Maintain and clean up of data and lists in NetSuite
  • Create and customize reports in NetSuite as needed
  • Weekly Cash Forecasting
  • Monthly reconciliation of all accounts, and daily-weekly reconciliation of cash and credit card accounts
  • Financial reporting collaboration. Assisting the Executive team in preparing financial reports, investor reports, year-end reports, spreadsheets, metrics analysis.
  • Creation and update of employee profiles for onboarding, offboarding and other changes
  • Maintenance of user roles/permissions for all financial systems within proper controls and protocol
  • Lead compliance activities such as Sales Tax reporting, Property Tax reporting, Business Licenses, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Pay: $59,000.00 – $73,000.00 per year
