We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our team to help us with manual and automated testing.
Position Location – This role is available in the following locations: Remote, San Mateo, Columbus
Time Zone Requirements – This team operates on the West Coast time zone.
Travel Requirements – This team has regular on-site collaboration sessions. These occur a few days per quarter at the San Mateo office. If you need to travel to make these meetups, Upstart will cover all travel related expenses.
How you’ll make an impact:
Work with business partners, and software development engineers to design and implement manual and automated tests
Influence our overall test strategy, drive the system architecture that supports it, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product
Define test plans, test specifications, test suites, test cases as well as design tools for functional and performance testing in a programmatic manner.
What we’re looking for:
6+ year of experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
2+ years experience with iOS application testing
2+ years experience with SaaS application testing
2+ years experience using Selenium/Appium, Java, SQL
Combination of solid in-depth knowledge of quality assurance, solid understanding of web/mobile technologies, as well as knowledge of automation tools.
Ability to translate use cases and/or technical specifications into test cases.
Experience with scalable distributed systems and service oriented architectures
Ability to analyze logs and strong troubleshooting skills
Knowledge and applicable work experience in creating automated test cases and improving test frameworks
Lead projects end to end with minimum guidance
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical field
