Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Business Development Manager for Healthcare, you will be responsible for providing transformation services to drive breakthrough improvements in operational quality and efficiency for our clients.

The Business Development Manager for Healthcare is an experienced executive that has experience leading large clinical transformations with healthcare organizations including IDNs, community hospitals, and physician practices. The BD Manager will identify opportunities to push our clients in new directions. As a senior member of the Simpler team you will be responsible to sustain those learnings and drive the client to continue to ask “What’s next? How do we improve from here?”

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor for our clients’ internal change agents, managers, supervisors and front-line employees.
  • Building relationships at the “C Suite” level
  • Manage the entire sales cycle including lead generation, customer relationship management, proposal development, and close planning.
  • Develop targeted sales strategies for Simpler Consulting services to large IDNs, hospitals, medical groups, and health plans
  • Collaborate with other IBM Sales Representatives to drive large scale, meaningful deals
  • Coach and transfer knowledge by working side-by-side to develop internal change-agent behaviors that build a culture of engagement, daily problem-solving, and respect for people.
  • Coach and develop our clients’ internal change agents and facilitators to create and sustain a “mission control” for daily management and tracking results.
  • Look for opportunities to use value-stream thinking to improve the deployment of new technologies and digital information flows.
  • Build long term client relationships and engage in business development activities; Build a solid professional network to promote and develop strategic business opportunities.
  • Develop working documents and deliverables, as well as provide project management, for client engagements involving the development, assessment and/or monitoring of services provided by Simpler and IBM team members
  • Partner with Marketing and Pre-Sales to effectively position consulting offerings through defined pricing models, partnership support, and direct sales campaigns

If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the anticipated compensation range for this position $177,000 to $273,000 is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 10+ years of healthcare industry experience
  • 10+ years of experience managing large, complex full cycle solution implementations
  • Understanding of business operations and business functions tactics.
  • Significant hands-on process improvement experience.
  • Proven capability for developing and sustaining key relationships.
  • Strong communication (oral and written) skills
  • Strong proficiency in data analytics and ability to utilize data for problem solving
