Main Purpose:

Under direct supervision, the Accounting Assistant performs various accounting tasks to support the Finance Department.

Reporting to: US Finance Manager

Responsibilities:

· Generates timely and accurate customer invoices.

· Posts A/R and applies receipts in the accounting system on a timely basis.

· Reviews A/R aging report by transaction date on a weekly basis, builds up good relationship with customers’ A/P departments, and makes effort on AR collection.

· Responsible for the scanning and maintaining log for incoming check payments.

· Responsible for downloading and saving statement of accounts for all customers.

· Provide assistance to customer inquiries or issues with payments or remittances.

· Prepare assigned monthly reconciliations and analysis of general ledger accounts.

· Prepare weekly journal entries as assigned.

· Processes all accounting responsibilities including AR, AP and inventory control as directed.

· Assist daily accounting task and month-end closing activities.

· Follows instructions from accounting team in terms of constant changing priorities.

· Assists year-end audit by providing timely and accurate financial information.

· Bank Reconciliations.

· Downloading Bank Statements.

· Cash collection.

· Expenses Processing.

· Credit Card Expenses Processing.

· Filing and serve as an additional resource for accounting team as needed.

Qualifications/Skills:

· Associate’s degree in accounting related field or equivalent experience.

· 2 years accounts receivable experience.

· Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

· Experience with an ERP system; SAP experience is preferred

· Personal commitment to excellence, integrity and honesty in all dealings.

· Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.

· Must be able to effectively handle daily responsibilities in a deadline driven environment.

· Multi-entity experience highly preferred

Other Skills & Abilities include:

· Proven ability to manage multiple projects

· A self-starter with experience in time management and work load prioritisation.

· Track record in delivering complex projects

· Experience working in a Global team desirable

· Keen interest in emerging technologies would be advantages

· Excellent communication skills including presenting, speaking, writing, and follow up

Classification:

Non – Exempt (Hourly)

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM TO 5:00 PM.

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel:

No travel is anticipated for this position.
