Outreach Enrollment Specialist-Bilingual, Spanish – HealthNet, Inc. – Indianapolis, IN

The Outreach and Enrollment Specialist provides education and enrollment assistance for uninsured and underinsured children and adults. This position will work with many city wide organizations to connect with and notify the community of HealthNet, Inc. and eligible benefits.

The Outreach & Enrollment Team is responsible for:

  • Establishing community partnerships and increasing awareness of HealthNet and their services.
  • Providing outreach and enrollment assistance for all uninsured individuals.
  • Collaborating with other HealthNet departments/programs to facilitate in-reach efforts for existing patients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Receive and follow up on referrals (internal and external) in a timely manner.
  • Identify, establish, and maintain ongoing relationships with individuals, groups, and organizations in the community to increase awareness of health insurance options and create referral opportunities.
  • Participate in community events to promote the services of the Outreach Enrollment team as well as the HealthNet organization.
  • Attend all required trainings.

Other tasks and functions may be assigned as needed to fulfill the mission of the organization.

Requirements

Qualifications/Knowledge

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Indiana Navigator Certification preferred but can be obtained after hiring.
  • Knowledge in Medicaid, Affordable Care Act (ACA), HIP 2.0 a plus.
  • False Claims Act (FCA) experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of enrollment procedures.
  • Driver’s License required. Will travel to events and community meetings.
  • Reliable transportation required, required to travel to all health centers.
