*REQUIREMENTS:
**
**Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
**Valid, current Nebraska certificate with endorsement in business education and/or information technology, agriculture, family consumer science, industrial technology, or school counselor
**Successful teaching and/or practice teaching experience
**Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate
**

*JOB GOAL:

**To organize and conduct a learning situation which will enable students to effectively explore careers while using the Nebraska Career Education Model. The teacher shall make a positive contribution which will assist the student in his/her development as a mature, able and responsible adult.

*TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
**
**6 FTE Career Instructor with option to add 0.4 FTE Substitute Teacher
**Nine month year or as established by the Board of Education

*EVALUATION:
**
**Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of administrative guidelines.
**Evaluated by building principal

*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
**This is a generalized job description. Applicants should be made aware of specific requirements prior to employment. Performs all the functions of the academic teacher with the addition of the following:
**
**Plans instructional objectives and activities consistent with Nebraska Career Education Model guidelines
**Implements and evaluates a course including a focus to discover the relationship between personal-social qualities, interests and skills to a wide variety of careers and post-secondary options to choose from
**Develop a Personal Learning Plan to transition into high school and with a broad career cluster focus
**Takes inventory of supplies annually
**Submits annual budget for equipment and supplies
**
**OTHER REQUIREMENTS (Intellectual, Sensory):
