Position: HMDA Reporting Specialist

Job Summary:

In this position the applicant is responsible in reviewing all Loan files for HMDA reporting and accuracy. The applicant supports management in the day to day efforts related to the Bank’s compliance management program. Tasks including accessing, maintaining and monitoring Bank Loans and deposit compliance with federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations and related policies.

Job Skills:

  • Reviews all Loan files for HMDA Reporting and accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of (HMDA) Home Mortgage Disclosure Act in addition to various lending regulations such as (ECOA) Equal Credit Opportunity Act, (TRID) TILA/RESPA Integrated Disclosure Rule.
  • Performs research, analyzes relevant compliance related information and makes recommendations on necessary procedural / control changes on more complex compliance matters.
  • Responsibilities may include verifying practices against policies, preparing management reports, counseling personnel on HMDA Compliance with policies and providing advice to entry-level employees.
  • In the performance of respective duties the applicant must maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and all other regulatory, security and bank policies.
  • Creates, reviews and updates compliance policies and procedures for HMDA.
  • Researches and responds to government, legal and official inquiries.
  • Assists in the preparation of regulatory and internal audits; initiates and monitors required modifications to procedures as required.
  • Completes all required forms and paperwork; prepares all necessary reports.
  • Maintains current knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  • Assists with Policy Management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in related field or equivalent
  • one to three years with HMDA LAR Collection and filing of the loan Application Registry (LAR) or equivalent.
  • Commitment to excellent and high standards.
  • Excellent Written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Versatility, flexibility and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
