Portfolio Director – VSolvit LLC – Remote

VSolvit has an opening for a Portfolio Director to support our Cyber Security Portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Cyber Security Business Account (develop and plan vision & mission, provide oversight to current program execution delighting customers, accomplish corporate goals, and support strategic/targeted markets for growth) for the portfolio. The Portfolio Director for Cyber Security is responsible for the growth of the portfolio in accordance with yearly assigned corporate goals and objectives. The Portfolio Director for Cyber Security will execute on this plan and orchestrate all programs/projects and operational activities within the Portfolio. The Portfolio Director for Cyber Security will manage a team of Program / Project Managers in the execution of technical and/or non-technical programs in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures, and guidelines. These programs/projects may span various CONUS or OCONUS customers and agencies. The Portfolio Director for Cyber Security coordinates with other VSolvit directors and managers for geographic or customer specific assistance in the execution of the portfolio programs/projects or for gathering information regarding a specific business development activity.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes the approved Cyber Security Portfolio Business Account Plan
  • Establishes for Cyber Security Portfolio goals to align with corporate goals and flows those goals down to the Cyber Security Portfolio Program / Project Managers and execution team.
  • Identifies tactical and strategic business opportunities through internal and external partnerships
  • Responsible for driving for Cyber Security Portfolio level recommendations and initiatives through to implementation
  • Responsible to meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
  • Leads or oversees portfolio capture activities to meet for Cyber Security portfolio growth goals
  • Supervises the Cyber Security portfolio Program / Project Managers in the execution of the operational, financial, and contractual aspects of the portfolio
  • Works with the Program / Project Managers to execute to program level financial requirements and goals
  • Works with the Program / Project Managers to manage and monitor subcontractor performance
  • Works with the Program / Project Managers and corporate business development team to define, implement, and drive mission-critical strategic and operational initiatives
  • Works with the internal Directors and Program / Project Managers to manage customer relationships
  • Provides thought leadership to project analyses and process improvement
  • Assists Program / Project Managers with employment, training, mentoring, motivation, discipline, and performance evaluation of assigned employees
  • Works with the Program / Project Managers to achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews and preparing and completing action plans
  • Works with the internal Directors and Program / Project Managers to resolve problems, identifies trends, determines system improvements and change
  • Clearly documents and presents research reports including creation of diagrams and procedure documentation
  • Possess a broad knowledge of most technical and business resources and use them to effectively coordinate team members and external resources
  • Identifies, screens, and evaluates new solution opportunities to address unmet customer needs
  • Utilizes the appropriate technologies and ensure that customers have the solutions they need, when they need them, and in the media best suited to their requirements
  • Collaborates with architecture and operations teams to ensure solution compatibility with company standards
  • Conducts formal monthly program/project reviews with Program/Project Managers
  • Continually enhances job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, sharing professional publications, maintaining professional networks and professional organizations

Requirements

  • Experience managing, developing, evaluating, and supporting teams of 15+ technical and non-technical personnel
  • Possess a working knowledge of Department of Defense and/or federal procurement practices
  • Possess strong analytical skills, including an understanding of business economics and financial resources
  • Experience in preparing reports and briefings
  • Demonstrated analytical and time-management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an active member of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact with all levels of an organization and/or potential customers
  • Ability to communicate with executives, customers, partners, and potential customers and industry partners professionally and confidently
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Technical Discipline or a Business Degree with a concentration in Technology Management, and / or Management and leadership
  • 15+ years’ cyber security technology solutions experience
  • 10+ years of technical and supervisory experience in the management of multi-task, multi-function projects within the Department of Defense or Federal contracting cyber security environment
  • 5+ years’ experience managing programs or projects
  • 1+ years’ business development experience to include opportunity identification, capture, teaming, proposal development, and proposal review
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience managing a technical and non-technical team or organization of 50+ personnel with P&L responsibility
  • Master’s Degree in a technical or business discipline
  • 3+ years’ business development experience to include opportunity identification, capture, teaming, proposal development, and proposal review
  • PMP certification
