Job Summary
The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for Income tax compliance, accounting for income taxes, tax research and audit defense.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Support federal and multistate income tax compliance, including preparing returns and computing estimates for corporations, joint-ventures, and partnerships
- Accounting for Income Taxes (ASC 740), including quarterly income tax provision computation and drafting tax footnote for financial statement disclosure
- Prepare account reconciliations for income tax related general ledger accounts
- Research & analysis of a wide range of tax issues
- Maintain tax-basis fixed asset records
- Audit support, including federal & multistate income tax
- Contribute to building a high-performance culture and a positive work environment.
- Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training ; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CPA candidate preferred
- FAS 109/ASC 740 working knowledge
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (primarily Excel and Word)
- Oracle software experience a plus
