Summary: Establish and maintains standards of service, organization, and management of daily operations of the department on the assigned shift. Develops and implements security policies and procedures, and ensures all are followed appropriately. Responsible for becoming and remaining subject matter training expert for department. Delivers, promotes, and schedules departmental training. Monitors and evaluates the progress, effectiveness and impact of training and development programs and makes recommendations for improvement.
Essential Functions:
- Hire, train, develop, direct, and counsel security personnel on the assigned shift.
- Receive additional training, become subject matter training expert, and lead training for the department in areas of appropriate use of force, self defense, and appropriate handling of verbal confrontations
- Ensure officers on all shifts remain up-to-date with all required departmental training; provide notification to officers of upcoming expiration dates of training certifications
- Review and approve all documentation generated during the shift to include, but not limited to Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports
- Assist guests and employees with escalated security questions, concerns, or complaints
- Greets guests in a positive and upbeat manner
- Remains knowledgeable of scheduled on-property and city-wide events and activities and property amenities
- Perform, as necessary, all duties required of Security Officers
- Provide overall protection of company assets
- Interact with guests and employees in a professional manner
- Interact with local law enforcement and emergency medical services as required
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations
