EDCare, established in 2001, is a privately held, Joint Commission Accredited eating disorder program with locations in Denver, Colorado Springs, Kansas City and Omaha. We offer evidence-based PHP, IOP (both adult and adolescent), and OP treatment for patients struggling with various eating disorders. EDCare also specializes in eating disorders combined with our Specialty Programs: Athletic, Substance Use, Binge Eating and Trauma.

EDCare COS offers Evening Intensive Outpatient Program (EIOP) for both adults and adolescents. Through our unique CAMSA treatment model, patients learn how to interrupt destructive behavioral patterns, tackle fears, take on new challenges and integrate lasting, positive changes into their lifestyle.

Summary of Major Functions:

Oversee and implement all aspects of nutritional program for center. Provide nutritional counseling to patients in clinical programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Complete thorough nutritional assessment within 48 hours of patient’s admission.

2. Create an individualized nutrition treatment plan with appropriate goals and objectives.

3. Develop meal plans demonstrating diversity and meeting the nutritional needs of the patients.

4. Demonstrate knowledge of food service regulations and environmental risks and enforce regulatory requirements.

5. Demonstrate knowledge of and practice of clinical interviewing/counseling skills.

6. Demonstrate ability to build therapeutic rapport.

7. Facilitate educational and nutritional process groups with expertise, demonstrating ability to engage, set limits and monitor the group process.

8. Timely completion and accuracy of assigned paperwork: assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, group notes, etc.

9. Coordinate construction of daily meals with Chef, using outside services and in-house resources.

10. Be able to assist/complete planning, preparing and serving meals as needed.

11. Capable of fulfilling the duties of the Culinary Staff as needed.

12. Ensure outstanding quality of dietary services and food service department.

13. Ensure standards and accreditation requirements are met (TJC, OSHA, HIPAA, etc.).

14. Other job duties as assigned.

Other Responsibilities:

1. Maintain schedule that provides appropriate staffing coverage.

2. Comply with all regulatory and accreditation requirements for the clinical services and food production services. This includes but is not necessarily limited to the Joint Commission and state and/or local health departments.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Registered Dietitian

3. Experience working individually and in groups, preferably with eating disordered clients.

4. Clinical conceptualization of the treatment of eating disorders and dual diagnosis.

5. Good oral and written communication skills.

Computer Skills:

1. Must be able to effectively maneuver within an office scheduling system.

2. Minimum of beginner skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Intermediate skills are required with Microsoft Outlook.

3. Must be able to efficiently learn and effectively work within an electronic medical records system.

Physical Demands and Environment:

Sitting frequently, standing occasionally, walking occasionally, talking frequently, hearing frequently, seeing constantly, reaching with arms and hands occasionally, crouching occasionally and using fingers intricately. This position requires lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds occasionally and lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds (rarely) and pushing (in a cart with wheels) up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Environmental conditions of this job include but are NOT limited to:

99% inside, 99% normal temperature and 99% normal noise as expected in a medical office and kitchen environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour
