Controller Embassy Suites Lynnwood WA – Spire Hospitality – Lynnwood, WA

The Embassy Suites Lynnwood is seeking a dynamic, experienced Controller to manage the Accounting function for the hotel. Responsibilities include but are not limited to conducting and overseeing all aspects of the accounting process within a centralized accounting department. The Controller is expected to ensure accuracy and efficiency, assist departments in the preparation of budgets, monitor expenses and compile data to ensure accurate and timely monthly P&< statements. Review all ledger account reconciliations to include: bank statements, assets and liabilities. Coordinate and review monthly financial statements for accuracy, and review and prepare accruals on a monthly basis to include hotel purchases, utilities and other expenses.

The ideal candidate will have a related degree in business or accounting along with three to five years of experience in a similar position, preferably within the hospitality industry. Proficiency in Excel is required. Experience with M3 and ProfitSword preferred.

Excellent customer service both internally and externally. Must abide by all deadlines & policies set forth by Spire Hospitality. Work effectively and timely as a team member with clear communication between all departments within the hotel. Must be able to create and execute reports & analysis that can be communicated to the management company, owners & capital partners. Must execute the position in an ethical manner and in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.
