Responsibilities:
Canyon Ranch is looking for an Exercise Physiologist (full time) at our Lenox, MA location.
As an Exercise Physiologist you will:
- provide professional guest consultations which may include fitness testing such as indirect calorimetry, Bod Pod testing, submaximal exercise tests following established protocols.
- formulate home exercise programs for enhanced health and performance
- interpret medical evaluations such as DEXA scans
- make referrals for services at Canyon Ranch consistent with company standards
- communicates and collaborates with other Health and Healing practitioners to facilitate an integrative healthcare approach
- create and delivers guest lectures on topics in the field of exercise science that are current, relevant and entertaining.
- complete administrative duties consistent with position
- create and maintains appropriate materials to supplement lectures and consults
- complete all documentation, inter-departmental communication and phone and email follow-up for guest consults in a timely fashion
- participate in clinical and administrative meetings and committees
- upload completed guest consult material into Electronic Medical Records System
Qualifications:
Experience Required: 3-5 years previous experience in same or related field
Education Required: Master’s degree or higher required
Certification Required:
- CPR/AED & First Aid certification required within 90 days of employment
- Certifications from American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and Muscle Activation Technique (MAT) desired but not required.
