Maintenance Tech – Lignetics, Inc. – Marathon, WI

Lignetics, Inc. is in search of two skilled Maintenance Technician positions out of our Marathon, WI plant. Our ideal candidate will bring an in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, will be well versed in electrical and mechanical diagnostics, and will be capable of assisting with the implementation of preventative maintenance measures. To excel in this position, you must be an outstanding problem-solver with exceptional communication skills and able to strictly follow all safety procedures and protocols.

** Position Hours: Monday – Friday, 7am – 3:30pm**

Responsibilities:

• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and complete repairs on equipment and property structures
• Perform minor building plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary
• In conjunction with the maintenance supervisor, implement preventative maintenance measures
• In conjunction with the maintenance supervisor, maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
• Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocols
• Assist the maintenance supervisor in outage planning
• Fill in as the acting maintenance supervisor during his absence
• Perform other maintenance duties as requested

Qualifications / Education :

• High school diploma/GED required – vocational school preferred
• 3-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic
• Must have mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with 460/230/110 single and three-phase power a plus
• Pneumatic & basic hydraulic knowledge also a plus
• Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Able to work well with minimal supervision – this position reports directly to the maintenance supervisor
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures
