Office Administrator – Center for Behavioral Development – Henderson, NV

A Psychological Practice in the Henderson area is currently searching for an office administrator for the growing psychological practice. The position requires working 20 to 25 hours per week. The practice provides services to youth and families in Southern Nevada and focuses on evidenced-based interventions for a variety of behavioral disorders (e.g., Anxiety and Mood Disorders, School Refusal, Giftedness, High Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and parent and child support). Other colleagues in the office provide services with adults as well as the office is dedicated to training students and post-doctoral fellows.

The office administrator is a key role in the practice as you are the first to greet and interact with clients and families and manage the daily tasks of the office. The practice values collaboration, openness to learning, and strong problem-solving skills to help the practice run efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities of the office administrator include providing client services at the front desk including client check in, answering phone calls, and coordinating care among professionals. Additional duties include but are not limited to:

  • Implementing and maintaining filing and electronic medical records
  • Ensuring procedures and policies are maintained and efficient
  • Maintaining security, integrity and confidentiality of data
  • Coordinating schedules, appointments and bookings
  • Managing and maintaining clinical referrals and being the initial contact with clients and families

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to work afternoons and evenings (12-7PM) Monday through Thursday
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, time management, organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Flexibility and adaptability to situations and fast pace working environment.
  • Computer experience with Word and Adobe products. Basic knowledge of technology to be able to navigate electronic medical records, etc.
  • Interpersonal skills working with adults and children
  • Enjoy interacting with a facility dog in the office setting
  • High school diploma, with at least 3-5 years of work experience in a related field

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in the medical/mental health field and knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality
  • Leadership skills
  • The goal to stay long term in the position
  • Experience in customer service and office management

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
