ABOUT US

We use experience, innovation, data science and technology to create the first end-to-end global travel insurance platform. From product design to emergency travel assistance, battleface redefines what it means to protect travelers worldwide.

THE JOB

At battleface, our focus is always on the customer’s journey, both literally and figuratively. The crossroads of that journey lives on our technology platform, where we assess risk, provide emergency medical assistance, pay claims, and connect to travelers.

We custom-build products for our partners and are looking for an Insurance Policy and Forms Analyst to join our underwriting team. You’ll oversee new and renewal travel insurance programs, manage new products, filings and rate developments.

Titles define individual roles, but at battleface, it’s working off-CV and with the team that is essential for contributing to our rapid growth.

ABOUT YOU

You’re the type of person who jumps at the chance to get things organized. You love data, forms, order and constantly obsess over policy wordings. When planning your next vacation, you use a spreadsheet. You certainly think insurance is the most exciting industry and don’t understand why others might disagree! At the same time, you also think insurance needs to be simple and easy to understand, while respecting underwriting and regulatory guidelines. Using data, you’re able to identify future customer needs. You’re eager to help us define what those needs are and help us architect and build the right products.

Essentials:

  • 5+ years of insurance form filing, pricing, product and program management experience
  • Independent, entrepreneurial spirit capable of managing portfolio with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrable track record of profitable business and generating business growth
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide appropriate product and rating adjustment recommendations
  • Overall experience in an underwriting environment, including product management, claims management and project management

Even better:

  • When reading this post, you did not have to google IBNR
  • We do not need to mention “Advanced knowledge of computer programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook;” we expect you’ve got this already
  • Travel insurance background? Great!
