Position Description

iMarketResearch (iMR) is seeking motivated individuals that are interested in performing detailed, data-driven market research. Recent college graduates will be applying for the Market Research Analyst position, whereas more experienced individuals will be applying for the Senior Market Research Analyst position. As a Market Research Analyst, or Senior Market Research Analyst, you will be joining a passionate team in an emerging growth business. As an analyst on this team, you will be responsible for executing custom healthcare market research studies targeting physicians and patients in order to provide strategic insights and advice to major pharmaceutical companies.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant academic background (for example, Market Research, Marketing, Business Administration, Psychology, Economics, Sociology, or Life Sciences related field) or internship experience in the pharmaceutical industry. To be successful in this role, you should possess excellent analytical skills, strong time management and organizational habits, and the ability to communicate clearly as well as concisely.

Responsibilities

  • Assist, design, and write survey questionnaires
  • Conduct quality control testing to ensure the accuracy of the online survey programs (functionality, content, logic, etc.).
  • Collaborate with senior team members on analyses and reporting
  • Use analytical tools (SPSS, nVIVO, Excel, R, etc.) to analyze the data collected from online surveys or qualitative interviews, with guidance from the experts on our senior team
  • Convert research findings into knowledge for our clients by presenting the data in PowerPoint reports
  • Contribute to consulting by drafting conclusions and recommendations for our clients
  • Oversee vendors and the work they produce
  • Managing project budgets and timelines
  • Participate in adverse events training, submit reports as needed, and document all necessary information requirements set forth by ISO guidelines

Requirements

  • Experience with market research or pharmaceutical courses or internships preferred, but not necessary
  • Team player who has the ability to work closely with others but is also a motivated self-starter that can successfully work independently
  • Must be comfortable multitasking and possess strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, good time management and organizational habits, and the ability to communicate clearly as well as concisely
  • Demonstrate problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills a must, specifically with regard to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with SPSS and Microsoft Excel, as well as any other similar analytical software is a plus but not required

Education or Equivalent Experience

  • BA/BS or MS degree in Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Marketing, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or related fields.
  • 0-3 years of market research, similar research, or consulting experience
