Spokane Public Schools is seeking qualified candidates who are prepared and excited to provide a 21st century learning environment that effectively addresses the emerging necessity of social emotional supports and blending learning strategies.

    : This position requires a Washington State Teaching Certificate with the appropriate Endorsement to teach in the content area advertised in this posting. SALARY:

  • WORK YEAR: Certificated employees are contracted for a 180-day work year for a full year contract.
  • SALARY: Placement depends upon applicable prior certificated experience, approved credits, earned degrees, and the FTE of the position.
  • BENEFITS: Fringe benefits for employees .5 or greater FTE include medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, and long-term disability coverage are provided for employees who work at least half-time or more in a regular position. In addition, employees have access to a variety of optional benefits through payroll deduction.
  • SITE GOVERNANCE: Completion of transfer, reassignment to another location, change of position, promotion, or new hire is contingent upon the individual’s agreement to sign the charter and any variances which may exist at the site and agreement to work within the framework of any covenant and principles of learning as determined by the site.
  • OTHER WORKING CONDITIONS as negotiated between Spokane Public Schools and the Spokane Education Association (SEA).
  • SECURITY CLEARANCE CHECK REQUIRED. A fingerprint background check is required for all prospective employees prior to start date. A processing fee is payable by payroll deduction.
