We are looking for a dependable Maintenance Assistant help with our various locations in Los Angeles County and Orange County to perform routine and extensive range of work in the repair and general maintenance of facilities, buildings and equipment under Area Manager’s supervision. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hand and arms
- Kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/ or humid conditions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Secures bids or quotations for major repair jobs, initiates purchase orders, negotiate repair bids, oversees and inspects repairs, attends on-site meetings and oversees the project.
- Prepares and keeps maintenance records ( expenses receipt reports, smart sheet)
- Anticipates and budgets for all major maintenance repairs on a quarterly basis.
- Performing repair or general Maintenance work of facilities, buildings, grounds and equipment at various sites including minor electrical maintenance (wall switches and outlets, replacements of light bulbs), carpentry, minor plumbing maintenance ( replacement of repair leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, replacement of faucet washers) , masonry, and painting tasks.
- Repairing and treating structures such as floor drains, sinks, walls, air vents, changing filters on ventilating, heating and air conditioning units.
- Performing minor repairs, and adjustments of locks on cabinets/doors, repairing door hinges.
- Servicing Kitchen emergency equipment (Juicer machines, meat slicers etc.), reporting mechanical malfunction equipment to proper repair vendor.
- Moving and assisting in the transportation of Furniture of store equipment to storage units.
- Replaces light bulbs.
- Take care of any repairs in a timely manner.
- Maintain facilities transportation vehicle in good & organize conditions.
- Maintain equipment, parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level.
- Maintain a cordial working relationship with employees and supervisors.
Qualifications include :
- Successfully pass a medical background
- Successfully pass a criminal background
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must be able to work flexible schedules 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts, weekdays, holidays and weekends.
- Plumbing, Electric and Construction experience
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, squat and bend.
- Regularly required to lift no more than 25 pounds unassisted
- Frequently required to use hand to finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms
