Description:

The Transitional RN Residency program for experienced RNs is now accepting applications. This position is for experienced RN’s wanting to go into a Cardiovascular Care Residency with a minimum of 1 year of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Applications must be completed and submitted via the Internet only. Program availability is subject to change and will only run based on organizational needs. The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional able to demonstrate the following core competencies: assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership and service. This course is designed to provide nurses with theoretical knowledge needed to provide holistic family-centered care to patients and family members and is targeted toward registered nurses who are new to critical care nursing.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates interested in the Transitional Cardiovascular Care Residency must:


  • Be a Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing by the CCNE or NLNAC
  • Have a Current FL RN License
  • Have a current BLS for Healthcare Provider card
  • Have 1 year of current RN experience in a hospital setting (required)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. All Associate Degree nurses accepted into the program must agree to achieve their BSN degree within 5 years of start date.

Candidates selected for interview will need to provide the following documents:

  • Copy of Nursing Degree/Diploma or Official/Unofficial Transcript indicating the nursing degree awarded
  • Copy of FL RN license
  • Copy of BLS for Healthcare Provider card
