  • 7+ years of public relations experience engaging directly with media
  • Experience in dealing with national, regional and local news desks on a variety of reactive and proactive topics.

Amazon seeks an experienced Sr. PR Manager to join the innovative team working on Amazon’s healthcare and vaccine program. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the team working to help protect the health, safety and welfare of our workforce and people in their communities. The ideal candidate is passionate about building PR programs and strategies in the healthcare space, can manage proactive and reactive news cycles, work at internet-speed and have a track record of working on major reputation campaigns. To be successful in this role you will need excellent communications skills, exemplary writing ability, exceptional initiative, and a talent for collaboration. You should have experience working with high standards under tight deadlines. Creativity and flexibility are a must.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the execution of external programs focusing on Amazon’s COVID-19 programs
  • Deliver communications counsel to internal executives on both short- and long-term challenges and opportunities
  • Research and integrate industry news, trends and compelling angles into PR programs
  • Write, develop and manage approvals for news releases, media advisories, fact sheets and related media materials
  • Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges
  • Effectively represent Amazon as a spokesperson
  • Manage campaigns to devise and implement PR strategies that deliver strong results against set objectives
  • Experience in both proactive and reactive media relations
  • Share ideas and results with Amazon colleagues internationally
  • Manage budgets and deliver clear, results-focused reports
  • Build and maintain relationships with key individuals in the business
  • Experience delivering on major campaigns, a high level of creativity and extensive
  • Experience developing strategic PR plans
  • Experience working with senior leaders
  • Experience managing external agencies
