GHS Operations Supervisor (Cheyenne, WY) – Change Healthcare – Cheyenne, WY


Overview of Position

  • Act as Fiscal Agent and interface with the Wyoming State Auditor’s Office (SAO).
  • Oversee Third party Liability (TPL) staff, perform functions related to cost avoidance, Medicaid subrogation pay and chase activities, TPL eligibility and other coordination of benefits activities.
  • Ensure compliance with SAO, HIPAA standards for the payment file generation format.
  • Ensure the SAO payment file is generated and sent for payment to the State Auditor’s Office in the designated format required by the SAO.
  • Work with the interface file, the Wyoming Online Financial System (WOLFS) and maintain a complete electronic file of all records, documents, communications and other written materials that pertain to the systems and services delivered.
  • Accounting for all checks in the Change Healthcare accounting systems for both rebate and third party liability (TPL) payments.
  • Creating, validating, and mailing invoices to insurance companies as part of the TPL processes.
  • Reviewing all weekly, monthly, and quarterly fiscal reports for accuracy and on-time delivery of reports to State of Wyoming.
  • Managing pharmacy payment data and schedule.
  • Trouble shooting all fiscal processes.
  • Supervising fiscal employees.
  • Assisting with development, testing, and validation of updates and fixes to the fiscal applications.
  • Processing EOB letters.
  • Acting as subject matter expert for fiscal processes.
  • Responsible for meeting all fiscal service level agreements for the State of Wyoming.
  • Other duties as assigned.


What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Knowledge of billing/collections experience, preferably within a healthcare environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software with an emphasis on Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to meet position metrics goals (OKR’s)


What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • Required: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Required: 2+ years of experience in accounting, accounts receivables, medical billing, and/or fiscal review.
  • Highly preferred: Prior experience with Medicare and Medicaid
  • Understanding of HIPAA requirements
