Nurse Practitioner – Riceland Healthcare – Houston, TX

Overview

Riceland Healthcare Systems is seeking a full-time, experienced, hands-on Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) that can lead an outpatient practice and manage a full patient load. We are a patient-centric organization and this position requires coordination of care with your supervising internist and also managing staff of nurses and MAs. Candidates for this position must be self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and exceptional interpersonal communication skills.

Duties include but are not limited to:

· Rooming patients, taking patient history and vitals, physical exam and assessment/treatment capability with oversight

· Telehealth visits may be necessary for certain patients

· Use of and Input into EMR (eClinicalworks)

· Assisting with procedures

· Injections

· EKG’s

· Drug and alcohol testing / physicals

· In-house lab testing: rapid strep, pregnancy testing, flu testing, glucose, etc.

· Completing prior authorizations if peer review needed

Requirements/Preferences

· At least 2 years of experience working in a Primary Care setting as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)

· Internal Medicine or Family Practice experience (required)

· Knowledge of eClinicalWorks EMR (similar EMR may be acceptable)

o EMR training is provided

· ICD-10 training and experience

· Proficient skills with Microsoft Windows and Office

· Knowledge of medical terminology

· CPR Certification (required)

· Phlebotomy skills (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
