RBT Certification – Upon hire, every Behavior Technician will receive a comprehensive ABA Training Program that meets the coursework requirement to become an RBT as well as additional fieldwork training and competency checks. Certification costs are completely covered by Gateway at no cost to the Behavior Technician. Once a Behavior Technician becomes certified, the technician will receive an increased pay rate as well.
BT/RBT Supervision – All Behavior Technician’s and Registered Behavior Technician’s will receive consistent and ongoing supervision with a BCBA that exceeds the minimum requirement of supervision set forth in the BACB Standards of Supervision.
Overview of Position:
- Work directly in client’s homes and community-based settings implementing individualized treatment plan written and supervised by a BCBA
- Continuously monitor client’s response to treatment through data collection methods written and supervised by a BCBA
- Receive supervision from a BCBA while providing direct services
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance
- Employment is subject to criminal background check
- Own vehicle or access to own reliable transportation
- Associate’s Degree in Psychology, Education or Special Education, or mental health related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience working with children or adolescents
- Bilingual is a plus
- Experience in ABA and Verbal Behavior is preferred but not required
