DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assists visitors on and off the tram in a safe manner, mindful of guests with special needs at all times
- Drives tram as directed on a designated route and designated schedule in a safe manner
- Shares information, history, statistics, and anecdotes during the tour of the island to the group in an accurate and engaging manner
- Maintains cleanliness of tram
- Maintains proper tram logs
- Reports all tram mechanical problems and maintenance issues to supervisor
- Extends courteous, efficient service to all guests, thanks them for their visit and invites them to return

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience driving and navigating large passenger vehicle or public transportation vehicle
- Valid Class B Drivers License with Passenger Endorsement
- Current DOT medical card
- Thorough knowledge of Angel Island tram routes
- Thorough knowledge of Angel Island history, geography, and geology
- Must be willing and able to work weekdays, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time
- Able to work unsupervised
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean 3-year history and no DUI convictions in the past 5 years.
