The Staff Physician is responsible for direct patient care in Neurology.
Specializes in the diagnosis, medical management, and surgical treatment of patients. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Identifies need for tests or follow-up visits. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Works closely and effectively with Medical Director to insure high quality patient outcomes.
Position Qualifications
Education:
M.D. or D.O. degree and completion of residency program in his/her specialty
Completion of fellowship in his/her specialty
Experience:
2-5 years direct experience within specialty
Certification/Registration:
Board eligible in specialty. Eligible for Delaware license. Meets all requirements to obtain Medical Staff privileges.
BLS required.
Board certified in specialty. Possesses current Delaware license.
Computer/Software:
Basic skills with Windows programs, patient database and ability to use medical websites.
Special Knowledge, Skills or Abilities:
Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
