Manager of Financial Clearance – Exeter Group – United States

The Manager of Financial Clearance is responsible for overseeing the Inhouse Financial Clearance functions across all our client’s hospitals and effectively managing all related business processes and human resources. This person reports directly to the System Director of Patient Access, with matrix reporting responsibility to the Patient Access directors of the parent hospital and other hospitals within the system. This role will also provide oversight to the Inhouse Financial Clearance team for our client’s children hospital.

Responsibilities and functions:
Patient financial counseling and Medicaid/financial assistance eligibility (in conjunction with the contracted business partner)

Inhouse insurance verification

Admissions and follow-Up

Inhouse patient financial responsibility discussions

Centralized work queue management

Patient price estimates and foundational Patient Access training

Qualifications

4-year Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s Degree w/ relevant experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.

Strong Excel skills

3-5 years of experience in healthcare supervisor or leadership role

Must be able to work in a highly collaborative environment.

Must be familiar with Epic Systems software or other similar HIS software.
