Growing and busy client in Dallas, TX has a need for a Healthcare Customer Service Representative on a contract to possible hire basis.

Remote Healthcare Customer Service Representative Role:
The Remote Healthcare Customer Service Representative will serve as the liaison between the patient and the healthcare provider. 
Assist patient with questions, complaints, and concerns as well as explain policies and procedures to the patient. 
Apply a variety of concepts, best practices, and follow policy and procedures in regard to patient and insurance billing.
Receives a high volume of inbound call and ensures calls are handled timely, efficiently, and appropriately
Effectively communicate with patients to explain balances and collect payments
Determine why claims were not paid by reviewing patient information updating accordingly and resubmitting claims to ensure payment as well as document accounts with current actions and follow up as needed
Escalate patient complaints the Clinic Admin as needed 
Correspond with posting and billing departments to resolve possible errors on patient accounts
Inform the Collection Manager of any issues impacting collections of outstanding receivables as well as research accounts in an effort to decrease days outstanding
Builds and maintains good rapport with patients, staff, clients and management team.
Utilize a high level of confidentiality to ensure protection and privacy of health information are maintained utilizing written, electronic or oral disclosures
Comply with all applicable federal and state laws, as well as company policies and procedures
Remote Healthcare Customer Service Representative Background Profile:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
At least 1-2 years of Healthcare and/or customer service experience required
The ideal candidate will have great customer service experience in a high volume role, or even a high volume call center with a little experience in healthcare/medical field with strong customer service skills and mindset.
Healthcare billing knowledge
Professional appearance and demeanor are required
Must be familiar with insurance plans and providers, Federal and State regulations related to Healthcare billing as well as CPT & ICD-10 is preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Utilize strong interpersonal skills including conflict management with the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure 
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Must have advanced knowledge of UB 04, HCFA 1500, and any other billing forms and filing requirements
