Registered Nurse 1 – 10 East Tower – MICU

Rotating- 12 hour shifts

Position Highlights:

MICU is a 24 bed medical intensive care unit
The Care Delivery Model is Nurse/PCT ratio is 90% Registered Nurse and 10% Patient Care Technicians.
Shifts are 12hrs, Night
Supportive leadership and staff; preceptor orientation provided

Staff nursing opportunities to participate in research, teaching and other activities for professional development.

Provides care for a wide variety of critically ill patients with common diagnosis which includes, sepsis, hemodynamic instability, acute respiratory failure requiring mechanical ventilation, COPD exacerbation, liver failure, GI Bleed, renal failure, multisystem organ failure

Position Responsibilities:

Opportunity to provide expert nursing care to a stimulating variety of critical medical patients

Position Qualifications Include:

Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse Licensure required.
BSN (or higher) required.
Experience working with critical care patients preferred.
