Oncology Nurse Supervisor (RN) – Texas Oncology – Arlington, TX

Texas Oncology is looking for an Oncology Nurse Supervisor, Registered Nurse (RN)to join our team! This position will support the Arlington North, Arlington South, and Mansfield locations. This is a full-time Monday-Friday 8a-5p position with no weekends, call, or major holidays. The ideal candidate for the Oncology Nurse Supervisor will have the following background and experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN or MSN preferred.
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum three years actively practicing as a registered nurse.
  • Oncology experienced preferred.
  • Leadership experience preferred.

What does the Oncology Nurse Supervisor do?

Coordinates all activities related to nursing functions and patient care, within budgetary constraints. Adheres to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. Supervises nursing staff that provides professional nursing care to patients. Must recognize physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

The essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Clinical Oversight
  • Oversees the clinical operations for all nursing clinical support activities.
  • Assists with the review and revision of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adequate staffing/FTEs for assigned clinics
  • Maintains effective nursing staff coverage and operating costs for the practice and/or satellites within budgetary parameters.
  • Participates in the interviewing and recruiting of nursing personnel.
  • Ensure clinical operations and practice consistent with organizational objectives
  • Monitors and evaluates patient satisfaction and quality assurance measures.
  • Staff Development
  • Coordinates, implements, and assists with staff training, in-services, and internal developmental programs for nursing staff.
  • Assists with annual performance evaluations for nursing department staff.
  • Serves as mentor/preceptor and provides day to day guidance to less experienced nurses

Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
