Pihl Excavating is currently looking for a motivated and reliable CDL Truck Driver to join our Team.
What your daily experience will look like within our Team
- Performing daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections and equipment inspections
- Maintaining a daily log book
- Transporting equipment and materials to and from jobsites
- Accurately recording weight of equipment and materials hauled
- Occasionally performing additional activities and tasks on the jobsites when necessary
- Delivering high quality service by following organizational standards
- Contributing to our team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Qualifications
- A valid Oregon Unrestricted Class A CDL license with tanker endorsement, medical card, and clean driving record
- Hazmat certification is beneficial, but not a requirement
- Experience operating Dump Trucks, Truck and Pup, End Dumps, Traveling Axle Trailers, Tilt Deck Trailers, Water Trucks, and Flatbed Trucks
- A proven safety record and compliance with all state and federal agency safety regulations
- Knowledge of the Greater Portland Metro Area
- A self-driven individual capable of delivering measurable results daily with limited supervision
- Comfortable climbing up and down from trailer decks
- Displaying excellent communication skills within our company and with our external partners
- Piloting experience is preferred, but not a condition of employment
- Capable of working 40+ hours a week and/or weekends when necessary
