Payroll Analyst – SSP America – Ashburn, VA

SSP America has an immediate full-time opening for a highly skilled Payroll professional to join our payroll team. The role is responsible for payroll processing, data reporting, paperwork administration and recordkeeping, to ensure compliance with basic payroll processes. The position will be based at our Support Center office located near One Loudoun in Ashburn, VA.

Some of the essential functions include:

  • Prepare general ledger (GL) reports and post various payroll journal entries to the accounting system (SAP)
  • Process weekly, bi-weekly, and off-cycle payrolls for SSP Team members in multiple U.S. states and Canadian provinces using the Human Resource Management System (Vista HRMS)
  • Solve payroll issues utilizing system expertise and analysis skills

Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline is preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on payroll and payroll processing experience
  • Proven knowledge of multi-state payroll processes
  • Experience in working with payroll systems, Vista HRMS preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and among cross-functional teams with minimal supervision, juggle multiple tasks, possess a high attention to detail, and effectively prioritize assigned job duties to meet deadlines and objectives
  • Ability to provide analytical data and recommendations to internal operations; troubleshoot and solve payroll related problems
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, as well as other products within the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, etc.)
