OBHAW is currently seeking a qualified part-time applicant to join our expanding Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic program to expand services through integrated care. Medical Office Assistant will assist with coordination of laboratory testing, medical services and data collection for follow up of clients in the CCBHC program. Medical Office Assistant will aid MD/ APRN by following up on services ordered by the OBHAW prescriber and act as lead in bridging services between behavioral and medical treatment. Medical Office Assistant will maintain communication with hospitals, PCP offices, and clinics to ensure good data collection and timely receipt of outcomes on laboratory and medical testing. Position is part time, Monday through Thursday 9am to 2pm.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree preferred but minimum of HS Diploma. Experience with medical terminology, ability to read and understand laboratory results preferred. Must have experience and working knowledge of computer software, such as Excel. Experience with serious mental illness or serious emotional disturbance is a plus. Ouachita Behavioral Health and Wellness Hot Springs, Arkadelphia and Malvern offices are National Health Service Corps (NHSC) approved sites.
