Senior Technical Analyst – Cox Automotive – Atlanta, GA

Cox Automotive is looking for an experienced Sr. Technical Analyst to join our team.

The Sr. Technical Analyst will be responsible for uncovering and documenting strict technical and business requirements in support of onboarding customers to our customized private store platform. Works with Product Owners, Product Managers and software development teams to produce a healthy backlog and stream of well-defined work for one or more teams. Manages capturing requirements and representing requirements to the team(s) from discovery through delivery.

Your Role:

  • Engage and interact with various business partners to understand and document client and business needs.
  • Identify and document gaps between client needs and current capabilities.
  • Document solutions designed by cross-functional teams in user stories and supporting artifacts such as diagrams and spreadsheets.
  • Partner with one or more scrum team to fill in gaps between understanding of requirements and detail needed to complete development.
  • Facilitate collaboration between business, product and engineering partners.
  • Provide just-in-time requirements clarification throughout development lifecycle.
  • Partner with program management and sales teams to elicit input and feedback from clients .

TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Requirements Gathering and Documentation – Assist business and product partners by deep-diving into client and business requirements. Develop a thorough understanding of the current system capabilities. Use knowledge of system and requirements to assist Product Owners and Product Managers on a path forward to resolving gaps in the product. Produce artifacts such as diagrams and follow-up questions that will assist development teams in building new features. Create and refine user stories to the point developers can begin work on them, as well as provide input during the development process.
  • Research – Gather supporting data to help business and product partners understand current state and context when addressing new client asks or market problems. Work with colleagues across functions to understand and document how systems integrate to achieve business outcomes. Define data at field level detail to provide clarity to developers and QA.


Minimum Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3 years; or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • Working knowledge of Product specialty/job area principles concepts, practices.
  • Working knowledge of SAFe Agile Methodology.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data into quantifiable actions/deliverables.
  • Strong writing ability.
  • Work experience in design, development and implementation of product plans.
  • Working experience in full product lifecycle methodologies.
  • Working experience in creating, prioritizing and recommending epics and features.
  • Working experience in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
