Currently hiring for Residential Specialists (1st & 3rd Shift; Work As Needed at our Northcutt Residential Treatment Center.
Program Overview: Northcutt Residential Treatment Center’s services are grounded in the philosophy of Trauma-Informed Care, an evidence-based practice which has demonstrated positive outcomes for victims of trauma. Using a multi-disciplinary team approach, we wrap services around the child and family to help them heal, and to transition back to home, school, and the community.
Job Description: Will be responsible for the overall implementation of policies, procedures, and the daily activity schedule while providing quality, effective, and efficient therapeutic interventions to boys between the ages of 6 and 14. Must be a caring and empathetic person who understands the high prevalence of traumatic experiences and have an understanding of mental health and substance abuse issues.
Other: This position also requires candidates to pass Safe Crisis Management (SCM) training, which requires individuals to be physically capable of sustained, intense exertion. May not have a physical disability or condition that would prevent one from participating in the physical restraint techniques and exercises (such as dropping repeatedly to knees, supporting another adult’s weight, twisting and turning.
Must have a valid driver’s license and car insurance and at least 21 years old.
Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED
